An 18-year-old man has been charged after a police officer was stabbed while attending a call-out at a property in Melbourne’s south-east yesterday.
Police were called to the property on George Frederick Road in Cranbourne West about 4.30pm after receiving reports of an aggravated burglary.
Shortly after arriving, a constable was confronted by a man in the driveway who stabbed him in the leg.

He suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
An 18-year-old man was arrested and interviewed by police.
He has been charged with assaulting an emergency worker on duty, intentionally causing serious injury, common law assault and making a false report to police.
He was remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court later today.
