Television’s most “anticipated” new show is the one that premieres next on your favourite streaming platform, or even Free to Air.
Read through almost any press release spruiking a new programme and chances are the show is either “anticipated,” “highly anticipated: or “most anticipated.”
Publicity departments, charged with talking up the content to media outlets and socials are never shy in adjectives and superlatives.
Every show is duly anticipated, even the ones nobody has ever heard of before.
I guess to the publicists and programmers alike, the shows are indeed anticipated.
