Nine’s Paralympics broadcast, ABC animated series Fizzy & Suds and upcoming Teenage Boss have all been certified as being Inclusively-produced by a newly-established screen venture, Inclusively Made.

So too have Bupa’s 2024 Paralympics ad campaign and Repco’s 2024 Bathurst campaign.

Inclusively Made, founded by Bus Stop Films and Taste Creative, helps producers in film, television and advetising who want to be Inclusive, but don’t know where to start, by offering consultation, an Inclusion plan, resources and ongoing support.

Co-founder Genevieve Clay-Smith, speaking last week at the Australian Children’s Content Summit told a room of producers and creatives, “Being Inclusive is not difficult, I promise. It’s not going to slow you down, and it’s not going to compromise on quality.

“Inclusively Made is a new venture that helps you to do that. It gives you a framework on how to be Inclusive. It gives training and it gives certification as well. If you produce a project that is inclusive, we certify it, and we put the Inclusively Made logo on it. What that does is it holds us as an industry to a standard, because I’m really sick of people saying ‘I’ve made something Inclusively’, and it’s one person with disability in front of the camera, and there’s been absolutely no Inclusion behind the scenes.

“There’s a standard to this, and it’s a holistic approach.”

“Every production and campaign is different, and so too is Inclusion,” said CEO Paul Nunnari. “That’s why the Inclusively Made certification can be tailored to your production. So there is no reason why every production can’t be truly Inclusive.”

Productions are offered accreditation by amassing 100 points from actions across a range of Inclusion pillars.

These are:

Inclusive Casting
Accessible Auditions
Inclusive Mentoring
Inclusive Crew Roles
Accessible Documentation
Accessible Locations
Safe & Inclusive Environment
Accessible Broadcast

Single project accreditation is a $1500 flat fee.
