A 10-minute racist tirade has been caught on camera in an inner Adelaide suburb, with the victim recording the entire ordeal on his phone.

Brandon, a Colombian immigrant who has been in Australia for 18 months, was approached by a neighbour who hurdled over his front fence and unleashed the vile onslaught.

“Do not stand there and tell me what to do in my own fucking country, c—. It is my country” the neighbour said.

The exchange quickly escalated, with the assailant hurling a string of expletives and racial slurs and even threatening violence. 

“I’ll go in and get my gun and I’ll f—ing shoot you,” he said.

Brandon, fearing for his safety, recorded the entire ordeal on his phone.

“I feel fear because he’s bigger than me, maybe he’s drunk, he has beer bottles. Yes, I feel a lot of fear,” he said.

Branden moved into the Mile End home only three months ago. He says he now feels scared to come home and just wants to get on with his new life here in peace

He sees his neighbour every day, and says he fears he’ll be physically attacked.

The man in the video told 9News over the phone, he wasn’t being racist towards Brandon, but declined an interview.

Brandon, meanwhile, is still happy to call his place home.

“I love Australia, really,” he said. 

“I have a special place in my heart. Really, I’d love to stay here.”
