Wednesday was a very good night for Australian drama with new Nine drama Human Error winning its timeslot and Home & Away consistently pulling strong audiences for Seven.

It follows from a strong debut by Return to Paradise on Sunday.

The Block topped entertainment at 987,000 in National TV Audience last night then My Kitchen Rules (879,000), 7:30 (799,000), Thank God You’re Here (596,000) and Shaun Micallef’s Eve of Destruction (471,000).

Human Error debuted to 501,000 then The Front Bar Guy (477,000) and Montgomery’s Guy Mont Spelling Bee (471,000).

At 9:30 Planet America was very strong at 546,000 following the US Presidential Debate. ABC News also led the latter at 350,000 followed by Nine (341,000), Seven (307,000), SBS (211,000) and 10 (101,000).

Seven News was #1 at 1.33m then Home & Away (862,000) and a win for The Chase (634,000). In select cities were Talking Footy (133,000) and Air Crash Investigation (79,000).

Nine News drew 1.16m for Nine then A Current Affair (974,000), Tipping Point (623,000). Million Dollar Murders was 100,000 and Footy Classified was 95,000 where they screened.

ABC News averaged 899,000. Hard Quiz (407,000) and Antiques Roadshow (214,000) followed.

The Project was 350,000 for 10 then 10 News First (347,000), Deal or No Deal (284,000). But Inspired Unemployed (Impractical) Jokers tanked at 134,000.

SBS World News (234,000 / 155,000), Dan Snow’s Greatest Discoveries (144,000), Secrets of Our Universe with Tim Peake (143,000), Mastermind (83,000) and The Sixth Commandment (56,000).
