Romantic comedy Emily in Paris has been renewed for a fifth season by Netflix.
Star Lily Collins broke the news on Good Morning America, as posted an Instagram that said, “There’s no place like Rome,” given titular Emily is now a resident of Rome. Go figure.
Collins stars as aspiring marketing executive Emily Cooper, an American who moves to Paris. But she in the fourth season she is tapped to run the new Rome office, which is quite convenient given her new beau Marcello Muratori (Eugenio Franceschine), an Italian fashion executive, happens to be there.
“Marcello is a whole other adventure that we want for Emily because we ultimately want Emily to be able to have a better work / life balance,” said Lily Collins. “We want to have Emily be able to smile without condition. We want to see her beyond her vacay mode. And he comes at that perfect time.”
The news comes just four days after Netflix dropped the second part of the fourth season last week.
