Footy Classified is proceeding on Nine tonight as press articles swirl around the impending exits of Caroline Wilson and Kane Cornes.
The Herald Sun reported Nine execs had called a “crisis meeting” over whether to pull tonight’s episode or change the line-up.
Nine sources have confirmed to TV Tonight the show is proceeding with no changes.
It has also emerged that Craig Hutchison’s Rainmaker production company has signed up to produce Seven’s new AFL programs next year. Hutchison is host of Footy Classified Mondays, which screens tonight due to the Brownlow Medal last night.
Footy Classified is produced by Eddie McGuire’s JAM TV.
Meanwhile the Herald Sun also reports Seven and Triple M commentator Luke Darcy is walking away from the mediato focus on his family’s business empire. According to the article, “Seven needs to clear some space in the coffers after new sport boss Chris Jones’ audacious poaching raid on rival Channel 9, signing Footy Classified panellists Kane Cornes and Caroline Wilson.”
