Three men are in hospital following a violent brawl involving neighbours along a street in Melbourne’s west.

One man was allegedly stabbed, leaving him with a punctured lung, after the dispute between neighbours in Truganina turned violent.

Police said a brawl broke out between two groups living along Botanical Drive about 7.30pm yesterday.

During the scuffle, one man was stabbed in the back.

He walked to his home despite a punctured lung, leaving behind a trail of blood.

The man in his 30s was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Reehan Naeem lives next door. His dad’s car became collateral damage.

“One guy straight up punched through one of his windows,” he said.

“It’s their fight, now our stuff is damaged. That’s frustrating.”

Two men from the second group were driven to hospital by friends with head injuries.

Truganina residents who were enjoying the AFL grand final weekend were shocked by the suburban scuffle.

Police are still looking into the motive.

9News was told the man who was allegedly stabbed was fed up by hooning activity coming from the house and went to confront the residents.

Two men aged 27 and 31 were arrested at the scene.

They’ve been charged and bailed to appear in court next year.

Police are still searching for other suspects.
