10 News First Queensland has announced Veronica Eggleton as Sport Presenter.
Joining Sharyn Ghidella as News Presenter and Liz Cantor as Weather Presenter, her appointment makes for an all-female presenting team, which the network descibes as a historic moment.
Eggleton has been part of 10’s sports coverage for nearly a decade, covering eight State of Origin series, NRL Grand Finals, and the 2023 Women’s World Cup.
“After coming ‘off the bench’ to present for much of my career, I’m excited to be part of the starting side and Sharyn and Liz are a powerhouse line-up to join,” she said.
“It’s been wonderful for the 10 Brisbane team to have a studio back in recent weeks. For me, it’s a real privilege, and I hope we can continue to add to the wonderful legacy built here over the years.”
She begins as Sport Presenter from today.
