A man has been charged over a two-vehicle crash near Dubbo in New South Wales last week.

A Toyota Hilux ute and a Toyota Hiace van collided on the Newell Highway at Tomingley at about 9.20pm last Friday.

Two men in the ute, aged 19 and 18, and a man and a woman in the van, both aged 57, all died at the scene.

The older couple have been identified as Parkes couple Graham and Sue Tait.

The younger men were Lochie Jacobs, 18, and his friend Joey Urban, 19.

The 23-year-old man driving the ute was taken to hospital with suspected leg injuries.

Yesterday, he was discharged from care and arrested.

The man was charged with four counts of dangerous driving causing death and other driving offences.

He was granted conditional bail to appear in court on October 21.
