Beloved TV chef Maggie Beer has taken to social media to send a message to her followers, speaking for the first time since her fall at home in the Barossa Valley home nearly two months ago.
Given a makeover from her granddaughter, Beer said she expected to make a full recovery.
“The support I’ve had from the whole community, Australia wide, and from friends and family… I just have been been so thankful and overwhelmed,” she said.
“I’ve come such a long way, but I did underestimate the severity of the injuries and so even though I want to tell you how good I’m feeling now, I still have a way to go.
“But, I will make a full recovery and part of it is the care and the love that I’ve been given.”
