A 39-year-old woman has been killed after she was hit by a car while walking near Hervey Bay in Queensland last night.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Toogoom Cane Road and Pialba Burrum Road in Toogoom about 6.25pm.
Police believe the woman was hit by a GWM Cannon ute.

The woman was treated at the scene for critical injuries but died a short time later.
Police said the driver of the ute, a 31-year-old Eli Waters man, was physically uninjured and stopped at the scene to assist the woman.
Authorities are appealing for anyone with dashcam footage to come forward, as investigations continue.
