Prime Video has announced Australian captain Pat Cummins as its newest brand ambassador.
Announced at Prime Video’s Primeville event at SXSW Sydney, Cummins appeared alongside local and international stars including fellow Prime Video Ambassador Meg Lanning, The Office Australia cast (Felicity Ward, Edith Poor, Steen Raskopoulos, Shari Sebbens, Josh Thomson, Zoe Terakes), Leah Purcell (The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart), Alicia Gardiner, Nina Oyama (Deadloch) and Lincoln Younes from Paramount+ drama Last King of the Cross.
“It’s incredibly exciting to be able to extend the relationship with Prime Video beyond cricket and The Test documentary series,” said Pat Cummins. “Diving into a new show or movie – whether it be binging Clarkson’s Farm, and the All or Nothing sport documentary series, or watching live sport – is one of my favourite ways to unwind away from the cricket pitch. I am looking forward to working with Prime Video team as an official brand ambassador.”
“Pat Cummins is undeniably one of the most well-respected leaders and cricket players in the world, and we are elated to welcome him to Prime Video as an official ambassador,” said Hwei Loke, head of Prime Video Australia and New Zealand. “Pat is a shining light of cricket in Australia and as a lover of live sport and entertainment, his role as ambassador is a perfect fit for Prime as we continue to expand our offerings across both live sport and entertainment.”
Prime Video exclusively holds the Australian live broadcast rights for ICC cricket events for the next four years.
