SAS Australia is set to return in 2025 according to the Sunday Herald-Sun.
The series was due to screen in 2024, after being announced in Upfronts in 2023, but failed to surface. Ant Middleton was instead featured in Dancing with the Stars, finishing a respectable third.
In the next season comedian Merrick Watts, one of just three participants to pass the course in the 2020 season, will rise in the ranks.
“Merrick Watts, he is coming on as one of the DS, the directing staff, he is going to be by my side on the next SAS,” Middleton confirmed on Friday.
“I guess the cat is out of the bag now. We have to keep evolving it (the show), keep it fresh.”
Middleton’s documentary Killer K2 with Ant Middleton screens on 7Plus on Thursday.
Seven’s Upfronts begin in the week of November 11 in Sydney.
