A 17-year-old has been charged after a 68-year-old woman was allegedly assaulted during an Adelaide home invasion.
Police believe a group of people broke a window in the woman’s Mitchell Park home about 3am, before allegedly beating her with a wooden stake.
Security cameras captured footage of several people on Maldon Avenue, some holding items in their hands, moments before the alleged attack.

A woman can be heard screaming for help during the alleged attack.
Other footage captured one alleged attacker approaching a car parked in a driveway, before spotting a camera, which was later ripped from the wall.
Another CCTV angle shows the woman being taken to hospital where she remains, as she’s treated for minor head injuries.
Neighbours told 9News the victim has lived in her home for decades.
In recent days, it is understood she was in the process of packing up to move into a nursing home.

One 17-year-old boy was seen covering his face as he was arrested by police nearby the woman’s home.
He was charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass and aggravated assault.
Police also charged him in relation to a separate alleged assault on four people at a service station in Marion an hour earlier.
