The driver of the car, a 69-year-old Goolwa woman, was taken to hospital as a precaution.
Police said she did not appear to be injured.
SES crews attended and helped to shore up the shop’s structure.
Photos show that the car drove through the building’s front window and front door and into the store, knocking the counter out of the way and disturbing the food displays.
Furniture on the footpath outside the shop was pushed out of the way in the crash.
The car was removed and towed from the scene.
Investigations into the crash are ongoing.
