Customers from one of Australia’s biggest banks are being locked out of internet banking.

ING Australia says it has identified the issue which has caused potentially millions to be unable to access the app or desktop website.

In a statement shared to X, ING apologised to customers who were having issues.

“We are aware that some customers are experiencing issues accessing the ING website and app,” ING said in a statement.

“The issue has been identified and our team are making progress in resolving the disruption.

“We sincerely apologise to any customers who may be impacted.”

Tech website DownDetector reported over 2200 people had reported issues with ING.

The issue appeared to have spiked about 1pm.

ING’s mobile app told customers “something isn’t working” when the app failed to login.

Some customers took to social media to complain they were unable to complete transactions.

“This is incredibly bad timing I’m currently doing a private car purchase and I’m standing with the seller trying to pay what is the fastest way to do this,” one said on X.
