A 39-year-old driver of an Isuzu truck has died after an accident in Perth’s north that has investigators scratching their heads.
The vehicle appears to have rolled, hitting a light post, before veering across the two south-bound lanes and smashing through a barrier in Wandi .
The truck eventually coming to a stop next to the train line along the Kwinana Freeway, 500m south of Rowley Road.

The road was closed as major crash officers tried to piece together exactly what happened just before 9am (12pm AEDT).
The train line between Cockburn Central and Rockingham was also closed all day.
A tow truck arrived at the scene five hours after the crash but the freeway remained shut a few hours more as the debris scattered across the road was cleared.

Both the freeway and train line were re-opened about 4pm (7pm AEDT).
The fatality takes Western Australia’s road toll to 154, making it the worst year on the state’s roads in eight years.
