Police have arrested a 45-year-old man after a woman’s body was found inside a bin in Melbourne’s north last week.
Staff at Repurpose It, a waste facility in Epping, made the grim discovery while moving green waste on Wednesday.
Investigators believe the woman was inside a bin that was picked up outside a property on Hilgay Street in Coolaroo on July 2.

Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the death of the 67-year-old woman, who is yet to be formally identified.
Detectives arrested the 45-year-old Coolaroo man in Glenroy about 11.15am today and he will now be interviewed by police.
